WOW..it has taken me a long time to post something new...but here it goes. So we have a Haylee now...she was born Oct. 10 and we are so blessed to have her. It's funny, looking back on being pregnant I could tell myself it wasn't that bad, but that 9 months seemed more like 10 months(oh, wait it was 10 months) and I am not gonna lie...it was not the most comfortable 9 months ( I mean 10 months) of my life. AND Labor...who's idea was that. I am just going to admit that I am a whimp and that Labor thing stunk to high heaven. I had labor pains starting at 2 in the morning and they were not fun but I could handle them...so Iwaited and went into the hospital when they were about 3 minutes apart (about 9:30am) and the nurse was like, "ya you are in labor but you still have awhile...if it was close you would be in a lot more pain than you are." So they sent me home and ten minutes after I got home my water broke...or did I just pee on myself...I don't know. So I called the wonderful Annie and she said "go back to the hospital girl, this is it." So I go tell Stefan that we need to go back...and then I felt the pain. I will just say the nurse was right...I was in more pain...shoot I wondered if they could give me an epideral through the phone ( they couldn't). So we head back and that was just the beginning. So ... 20 hours later...two epiderals ( the epideral man...or happy juice man had to come back 5 times cause the epideral was not doing its thing) and I have to admit there were many times I thought...just do the c-section and lets end this torture...anyways after all that I told the nurse...I feel a lot of pressure down there and she looked and said you are a 10 plus 2...I am still not sure exactly what that means but she smiled and so I was ready to push. So the nurse get things going...tells me to push...the peanut gallory (my Mom, Dad, and Stefan) were cheering me on...the nurses were telling me what to do (I even got yelled at by one of them to push harder...did I mention I was being a whimp). After 10 min. or so of pushing the nurse says, "ok, stop pushing, we have to wait for the doctor." WHAT...you want me to stop...I just got the hang of it...and you want me to stop...this ittle girl is halfway out and I am supposed to stop...it was lke going Number 2 and someone telling you to stop halway through..who does that...anyway to stop the nasty-ness. The doctor got there in 10 min. (which was pretty good timing) and 5 min. later she was born. Then I heard her cry...and nothing else mattered. It was so easy to accept the 10 months and the labor ordeal when I knew she was ok...that cry was one of the most beautiful sounds I have ever heard.
